Bar & Restaurant Expo 2024 | Portable Draft Systems

In March of 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to exhibit at the Bar & Restaurant Expo in Las Vegas — back when our brand was only VinoDraft (before our evolution with Add-A-Tap). It was an amazing event and a major milestone in the journey that led to the portable draft system we’re known for today. Here's a few highlights:

Showcasing a New Way to Pour on Draft

From the moment the Expo floor opened, one thing was clear: the industry is progressive. They are ready for new ideas. Ready for smarter, simpler, and more flexible ways to serve beverages on draft. Operators, bar managers, beverage directors, and mobile bartenders stopped by our booth all day to see how our system worked — many of whom had the same reaction:

“Wait… this replaces a jockey box? No more jockey box?!” 
      OR 
"This lets me do a tap takeover with a seasonal and not take a beer off tap?!" 
     OR 
"We can serve draft red and white wine right on the patio for the big event?" 
     AND
Yes! — that was exactly the point.

At the time, VinoDraft was focused and founded around delivering cleaner, easier, more portable draft solutions for the wine industry and just starting to branch out. What we showcased at the expo eventually became the foundation of today’s Add-A-Tap clamp-on draft towers, Keg Keeper insulated keg bags, and gave us market feedback as we engineered the air-powered KegPressor™.

Why the Industry Connected With Our System

Across three days of demos, conversations, and hands-on testing, a few themes kept coming up:

✔ Mobility matters.
Bars and restaurants want to activate patios, rooftops, pop-ups, and events without dragging out heavy jockey boxes or ice bins.

✔ Presentation matters.
Operators were excited about a clean, modern, professional-looking tap system they’d be proud to put in front of customers.

✔ Cost & efficiency matter.
No more spending on CO₂ refills, wasting ice, or managing equipment that wasn’t designed for mobility.

✔ Versatility matters.
Wine on tap, cocktails on tap, seltzer, cold brew, kombucha — people loved that the same system could serve it all.

✔ Sustainability matters.
There are increasing pressures to reduce packaging waste, lower carbon emissions, streamline operations and reduce costs. Or concerns about meeting consumer demand for more options and better price value. Kegs help solve many of these pain points, but not enough establishments have the infrastructure to serve multiple drafts on tap. 

A Brand Evolution Sparked at the Show

Bar & Restaurant Expo 2024 wasn’t just a tradeshow for us — it was a turning point. 

The conversations we had and the feedback we received helped us refine our mission and ultimately led to our expansion from VinoDraft to Add-A-Tap. We realized the world didn’t just need portable wine systems — it needed a universal, simple, clamp-on mobile tap solution for more draft beverages.

And that’s exactly what we built.
